In March 2015, the Kyrgyz Republic committed to the priorities of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction. In line with this, the Concept for the Comprehensive Protection of the Population and Territories of the Kyrgyz Republic from Emergencies for 2018–2030, as adopted by Resolution No. 58 of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic dated 29 January 2018. An implementation plan for the first phase (2018–2022) was developed and has been completed by 89%. The implementation plan for the second phase (2023–2026) was approved by Resolution No. 1 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic dated 10 January 2023.
